[Cecil & Rosa, Final Fantasy IV]
Yayy, I can finally post this! I did this a month ago, but had to keep it secret because it was submitted/accepted to Issue 1 of Phoenix Down Monthly! What is PDM, you ask? A Final Fantasy Literary Magazine over on Livejournal, run by some friggen awesome and talented people You can download the first issue here (pdf format). Anyway... I already see a LOT wrong with perspective/proportions in this picture so I'm not really looking for crit this time but whatevs. I still like it. Watercolor, with a Super Amazing Digital Background. (I made this piece with the intention of getting everyone PUMPED UP for FFIV on the DS! But it's already been out for a few weeks by now, lol. WE CAN STILL BE PUMPED ABOUT IT.) |

I've heard the remake is great, but I'm currently in a bit of an economic slump, so to speak...

anyway, great job on the colouring. it really looks nice (especially cecil's armor, which was probably pain to draw/colour) still, i also get an impression that this digital background doesn't quite fit here, but that may be 'cuz i really dislike mixing traditional and digital media.
and there's no real reason to pump everyone for the new ff4. people will buy it anyway heh
still, it kind of hurts to see how they made a total wimp of cecil (you even get to read his awesomely emoish thoughts upon pressing the menu button heh)
It's great seeing a new FFIV piece. I'm a sucker for traditional media, so i'm all over this
